"In face of Challenges"

Urbanism and planning face numerous challenges, both old and new, encompassing environmental, social, economic, cultural, and technological aspects. This conference hereby initiates discussions on innovative and emerging ideas to address these challenges, whether in planning approaches, or methodologies and tools.

Creativity and innovation can transform urbanism to become more vibrant and sustainable—spatially, economically, socially, culturally, and environmentally, and hence ensure a better quality of life.

Innovation embodies two fundamental aspects; the first is indigenous creative ideas that were introduced by communities to address urbanization, while the second represents modernity resulting from technological advancements. Both are significantly influential in shaping urban development.

The conference holds significance in contributing to the formulation of policies, strategies, and innovative urban planning solutions. Also, Additionally, it involves the utilization of technological innovation to create modern urban communities capable of addressing current challenges and rapid urbanization, thereby ensuring sustainable development. The conference's significance also lies in highlighting various technological applications in analyzing urban components, constructing future urban scenarios, and interpreting inhabitants' spatial behavior, in order to integrate them into urban planning and design processes.

Oral presentations are forms of effective verbal communication that may be accompanied by slides. It is critical that you do not read your slides as your presentation; slides help you make a point, but do not replace your verbal communication. Presenters should not write out their presentations on slides or itemize all their points on a slide—this detracts from the engagement with the audience. If your head is always turned to your slides or looking down at your laptop, you will not deliver a powerful presentation.
